ICAT Logistics, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Tahsin Meteoglu as Chief Operating Officer. With over two decades of leadership experience in logistics, transportation, and global supply chain management, Meteoglu brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise as ICAT continues to expand its operations.
In this role, Tahsin will prioritize operational efficiencies while keeping clients at the forefront. His responsibilities will include driving strategic growth initiatives, overseeing compliance, leveraging technology as a differentiator, and managing global network of partners.
Meteoglu began his career in the family-owned maritime transportation business in Istanbul, Turkey, where he earned his captain’s license and gained hands-on experience in operating vessels and managing business operations. He further honed his technical expertise by earning a bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from the Technical University of Istanbul in 2003. In 2005, Meteoglu graduated with a Master of Science in International Transportation Management from SUNY Maritime College.
Meteoglu held senior management positions across various business units within a large public transportation corporation, where he oversaw all aspects of business operations and P&L management at both the branch and regional levels. In 2010, he was a key player in the spin-off of a major logistics division, where he led the acquisition and integration of a regional Customs House Brokerage firm, established a government-focused business vertical, and developed a project logistics division. He also implemented a cross-border station network with 24/7 service capabilities along the Northern U.S. border. In 2017, Tahsin took on the role of Managing Director of Global Operations at a sizable U.S.-based freight forwarding organization, where he achieved significant growth, greatly expanding the company’s international presence and quadrupling annual sales of his division. He developed multiple industry verticals, enhanced strategic product lines, and built a global supply chain program. In 2022, he was instrumental in the successful merger of the company to a global logistics leader, where he led the integration of international operations, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with the new parent company’s global strategies.
