An ICAT Logistics Case Study Hitting it Out of the Park

One of ICAT's customers located in Miami—who is facing customs issues and delays—calls for help with an urgent shipment that needs to get delivered in Venezuela to a major baseball organization.

The Problem

One Call

One of ICAT’s customers located in Miami called with an urgent shipment from the Boston Red Sox stadium to a major league baseball organization in Venezuela—the Bravos de Margarita. Due to customs issues and delays, they knew they had to contact their reliable shipping partner, ICAT Logistics, to get the freight there as soon as possible.

The Solution

Right Solution

The customer needed the freight shipped to Valencia, Venezuela, so the ICAT team immediately contacted their agent in Venezuela and asked them to provide shipping instructions. The agent informed ICAT to move the shipment to Caracas instead of Valencia, as it would cut down on the transit time. The goods were secured on a direct air service to Caracas and were shipped the following day.

The Results

Done!

The equipment for the Bravos de Margarita baseball team was delivered safely and successfully on-site without any delays or mishaps. Since this particular event occurred, the infrastructure for shipping cargo to Venezuela has grown exponentially, and ICAT continues receiving freight on a regular basis.
